Breezy Spring Babysitting

I know I said 2014 would be "The Year Of Art Updates", and yet I keep disappearing from here. (almost 4 months into 2014 & I only managed to post 5 pics. This one will be the 6th. :V ) So much stuff had happened within the past few months. I'm not gonna get into too much detail....since it's too much to talk about.

Anypoo, I had received several notes (as well as a few comments on some of my other pics) from watchers and non-watchers, asking when I was gonna post more artwork featuring baby characters (and by baby characters, they mean "Existing characters with non-existing baby versions". So here y'all go; one for now.

Idk if some of you may remember a journal I posted back in 2011, stating my boss and I got in this huge disagreement that got me suspended from work for a whole week. That week I was suspended from work _{(without pay.)} I ended up sketching this piece out, and worked on it for about 3 of the 7 days I was away from my job. Now...I could've chosen to do "Parody Art", expressing my rage against my boss that week, but I decided to go with something "Sweet" (no, I did NOT give her this piece. _{(it'd be a cold day in hell if I did. )}

*Ahem*, back on topic....Gusty Garden Galaxy was always one of my all-time favorite levels in Super Mario Galaxy for obvious reasons. Not only for "that" reason....but the layout was very pretty, and the music for that galaxy is so beautiful! If you hadn't heard it, you need to! D:< lol www.youtube.com/watch?v=bcZhJD…
And because it had been one of my fave levels, I wanted to try my neck at recreating the background with just colored pencils. Of course it doesn't look exactly like it, but let's go with the idea it's Gusty Garden 40+ years ago.

Baby Burrows was originally intended to have no clothing on (except a diaper, and that spiked helmet), but decided otherwise. The cloths were gonna be feety-pajamas (which is one of his trademark outfits as a baby), however, the idea of onesies and baby booties seemed cuter.

I had to view so........many..........YouTube walk-through videos; so....many....blurry screenshots, and (at one point, replay the levels) of all the Gusty Garden Galaxy levels, just to get the flower coloration correct.

This was suppose to be a "Spring Time" post back when it was completed (my suspension took place in the springtime, ironically). At that time, I had no scanner. I was gonna post it this past spring, but was busy with school. :/ 

ARTIST COMPLAINT
Upon completing the pic, I had realized I forgot Baby Burrows's only-tooth. So yeah....he appears "toothless".

Coming up with a title for this was a reeeeeal headache! Even so....the title still sucks.
